RESOURCES – REGULAR PRAYER (Day 6 of 7)
(Need to start at the beginning? Day 1)
As I mentioned in a recent post, I’ve never found a book on prayer that actually spoke to me.
Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful. Colossians 4:2 NIV
There were plenty of good books with scriptures and practical ideas, but for some reason, I just didn’t connect. They didn’t have any real impact on my prayer life.

So, I’m going to toss this back to y’all. What books on prayer have really blessed you? Or, perhaps, there is a particular Bible verse that inspires you. Please comment and share.

Hi, y’all. I’ve sent out all the 2023 Giving Statements by email and post. A couple of the emails and envelopes came back to me. If you gave in 2023 and didn’t receive a statement, a changed email or address might be why. Please let me know of any changes, so I can send you a statement and a thank you.

No Holds Barred by Mark D. Robert’s is a book on prayer that changed my perspective. It invites you to pray with your whole heart, honestly and unconventionally compared to the prayer I witnessed as a girl in my liturgical church background.
I don’t agree with all of his conclusions, but I love the way he outlines different kinds of prayer from throughout the Bible.
Thanks so much, Adrienne. Sounds like a good read. It’s on my to-read list now. :)
