FIRST TRY – ASSUME GOOD (Day 3 of 7)
(Need to start at the beginning? Day 1)
Take the day and keep an eye on your responses.
When you feel tense or hurt, ask yourself why. If it’s an assumption about another’s intent, ask yourself if you can give them the benefit of the doubt. Perhaps they didn’t finish their thought. Maybe they were sharing from a different perspective or stumbling because of poor communication skills (we all have those moments).

Smile, ask a question or two. Give them room to fix their oops. (Or maybe just forgive them because they are having a bad day and their humanity is showing.)
Keep notes on what you learn about yourself and others. What is the fruit of assuming good?

WooHoo! My raspberry bushes are starting to bloom.

It’s nice to have flowers for the bees and baby raspberries starting to shape up. Looking forward to a nice harvest in a couple of months.
