GENTLE WORDS (Day 3 of 6)
Need to start at the beginning? Day 1
Time for a bit of practice.
A soft and gentle and thoughtful answer turns away wrath, but harsh and painful and careless words stir up anger. Proverbs 15:1 AMP
Every time you speak with someone today, consider your tone of voice and choice of words – especially as you start a conversation.
Discussions invariably end on the same note as they begin. John Gottman
Are you offering a compliment? Are you asking for something? Are you responding to a comment or question?

Pay special attention to your conversations with your spouse. The start of a conversation is important, but so are things like the first conversation of the day or times when either of you are particularly tired or stressed.
As you practice, keep an eye on how people respond. It will give you a bit of clue as to how you are doing.

I’m so stoked. Last year, I tried to grow San Marzano tomatoes and they didn’t make it.

This year they’re growing in the green house and beginning to produce fruit. These are the tomatoes you use for sun dried tomatoes in oil. They’re one of Paul’s favorites.
