OVERLOOK OFFENSE (Day 1 of 6)
Here I am in Proverbs again. 🙂
… it is (a person’s) honor and glory to overlook a transgression or an offense [without seeking revenge and harboring resentment]. Proverbs 19:11b AMP
We live in a messy world and we all have areas of brokenness and sin. There will be offenses.

This week, can we consider the concept of overlooking offenses? Let’s talk to God about this concept today. What does His Word say about it? Where have you seen this concept lived out well? Poorly?

I’m peeling quail eggs … a mess of them.

They’re to share at a picnic and Paul wants to pickle a few too.

I’ve always wanted to utilize quail eggs in a dish. Please share what you do!
We hard-boil the eggs (spoon eggs into boiling water, 3 1/2 minutes, then spoon into ice water) and use them in a number of dishes. They’re small, so they make a good snack. Cut them in half and toss them in salads (love them in potato salad). Paul just started picking them. He’s tried this recipe (https://practicalselfreliance.com/pickled-quail-eggs/), but wants a bit more flavor (will try this one next – https://projectupland.com/wild-game-recipes/pickled-quail-egg-recipe/). And, of course, they can replace chicken eggs in any dish (4 quail eggs for 1 chicken egg). When we have excess eggs, we make frittatas.
Quail are prolific egg layers. They start laying eggs around 6 weeks and lay an egg most days. A lot of folks in cities raise them because they are not noisy, easy to care for, and are generally ok by city rules.
