OVERLOOK OFFENSE (Day 2 of 6)
(Need to start at the beginning? Day 1)
Let’s take today to look in the mirror.
… it is (a person’s) honor and glory to overlook a transgression or an offense [without seeking revenge and harboring resentment]. Proverbs 19:11b AMP
How well have you done to overlook offenses?
I’ve shared the Amplified version of this verse because it talks about heart attitudes as well as how we live this out.

I’ll own there are times that I do the right thing, but I still have hard feelings. Now, I think it’s right to act well and work through your feelings later if the situation calls for it. I’m just aware that I haven’t always had that emotional follow through. This makes it especially hard to deal with repeat offenders.
I think it’s also important to consider where it’s appropriate to overlook an offense and where it’s a healthy choice to speak up about a problem. It does take some sensitive consideration. The wisdom of a good friend can help.

Some dear friends invited Paul and me to an evening of Classical music in the park.

It’s been a while since I’ve done a park event and I thoroughly enjoyed it.
