.WHAT'S STOPPING YOU?

OVERLOOK OFFENSE (Day 4 of 6)
(Need to start at the beginning? Day 1)

So I blew it.

… it is (a person’s) honor and glory to overlook a transgression or an offense [without seeking revenge and harboring resentment]. Proverbs 19:11b AMP

Paul and I had one of those mornings, I got a bit cranky, and I didn’t see it until I was a ways down the road in our “conversation.”

1. It was early and my sleep had been poor.
2. I hadn’t had my coffee yet.

3. I got royally ticked that Paul did not understand my perspective (I was seriously not overlooking anything).
4. I responded defensively and poorly.

I need to be aware of those times when I’m not at my best, and I need to examine the need to defend myself. All in all I did a sucky job of handling the situation.

But I learned something about myself and hopefully I will do better next time. I obviously need more thought and practice.

How did y’all do? Need more practice?

Here’s a picture of Tilly.

I need the comfort and humor (how do cats sleep that way?).
