REFLECTION AND PRACTICE

AN EXTRA WEEK –  (Day 4 of 6)

I’m feeling pretty good about this week’s practice. I’m learning more about my head and heart. The extra practice is helping me catch any bad attitudes before they speak up.

DON’T BE FUSSY – adopt a more positive demeanor.
OVERLOOK OFFENSE – offer a bit of grace.
GENTLE WORDS – fill your conversations with thoughtfulness.

How is your week going? Have you had any good conversations with your spouse? Have you learned from your successes or failures? Where will you focus today?

PAUSE BUTTON

I think I will pray about and watch over my words for any fussiness. I’m looking to catch any negative attitudes and words, pause, take a step back, and then practice speaking graciously instead.

Several gals on our property talked about growing and drying plants for tea. I’ve been picking bits of various herbs and plants and drying them.

ELECTRIC JAR SEALER

But then what to do? Preserving has not been my forte. That said, I found this little gizmo that sucks all the air out of your standard mason jars (standard and wide mouth). I drop in my herbs, vacuum out the air, and my teas will (hopefully) last through the winter months. (It’s a really cool toy, too.) 🙂

As an aside, this is not canning. This is extending the life of many foods by taking the oxygen out of the jar. A lot of folks use this for fruits and veggies in their fridge or dry goods on their pantry shelf.
