HAVE A PLAN, WORK THE PLAN (Day 2 of 6)
(Need to start at the beginning? Day 1)
How are y’all at thinking through something, making a plan, and then following through on your plan?
The plans of the diligent lead surely to abundance, but everyone who is hasty comes only to poverty. Proverbs 21:5 ESV
I’ll own that I’m usually pretty good at that. I’m naturally more ordered (though I have my messy moments).

I do have friends that are more spontaneous and less prone to planning. Personally, I think we all need a bit of spontaneity to keep things fun, but what I’m talking about is developing the skill of making a plan and being able to follow through.
Take the day and talk to God about your personal skills. Where have you had successes in planning and follow through? Where do you struggle?

Yes, we are drowning in zucchini (those are blackberry leaves sneaking in to play).

But that’s not a bad thing. 🙂
PAUL’S ZUCCHINI BROWNIES RECIPE
Ingredients:
- ½ cup oil (olive oil works well)
- 1 ½ cups granulated sugar
- 1 Tbs vanilla extract
- ½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 ½ tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 3 cups finely shredded zucchini (don’t drain away the liquid)
- 1 ¼ cup semi-sweet chocolate chips, divided
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350° F.
- Line a 9″x13″ pan with parchment paper.
- Mix oil, sugar, and vanilla together in a large bowl.
- Add cocoa, baking soda, and salt. Mix to combine.
- Stir in flour. Batter will be very dry.
- Stir in shredded zucchini and allow to rest for 5 minutes. The dry ingredients will pull moisture from the zucchini. (If it’s still dry after 5 minutes, let it sit a bit longer.)
- Stir in ¾ cup of the chocolate chips.
- Spread batter into the pan, top with remaining chocolate chips, and bake for 25-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out dry.
- Cool before cutting.
