I was wandering around in my garden, looking at the various plants.
The zucchini are going great guns, but the very cold spring stalled my winter squash. I don’t know if there will be time for them to get to size and ripen before first frost.

That said, I’m not sorry.
Hear me out.
There are so many things in life we don’t really have control over. However, I don’t think that’s a good enough reason not to try.
I may not get any winter squash, but then again I may (and I’ll learn a lot). I certainly wouldn’t get any squash if I didn’t plant any.
You miss 100% of the shots you don’t take. Wayne Gretzky
In my marriage and in my life, all I can do is try. I want to stand for integrity and love. It’s worth the effort and the risk for me, even if the results don’t play out as I would like.
The lovely thing is, in Christ, He is at work in the good and the bad. I may be disappointed by some immediate less-than-desired result, but He can work it for good and I can trust Him for that.
Keep trying.

This is one of my favorite poems. It was found on the wall in Mother Teresa’s home for children in Calcutta. Love it.
People are often unreasonable, irrational, and self-centered. Forgive them anyway.
If you are kind, people may accuse you of selfish, ulterior motives. Be kind anyway.
If you are successful, you will win some unfaithful friends and some genuine enemies. Succeed anyway.
If you are honest and sincere, people may deceive you. Be honest and sincere anyway.
What you spend years creating, others could destroy overnight. Create anyway.
If you find serenity and happiness, some may be jealous. Be happy anyway.
The good you do today, will often be forgotten. Do good anyway.
Give the best you have, and it will never be enough. Give your best anyway.
In the final analysis, it is between you and God. It was never between you and them anyway.
