The conversations Paul and I have are changing as we move from summer into fall. Yes, it’s a ways off yet, but fall and winter come fast where I live, so we are talking about all those things we’d like to get done before snow.
It dawned on me the time we spend together is changing too. There are nicer options for activities when the weather starts cooling off. A hike at 70°F is much nicer than at 90°F. There’s mushroom hunting after the first fall rain and toasting marshmallows over a recreational fire (burn bans happen during the summer here).

Just a reminder to be intentional about enjoying couple time activities as the seasons change. What options are easier to do as you move into fall? (Or spring, for those of you in other parts of the world.)

Yes, this is just an ordinary jar filled with dehydrated carrot shreds.

It’s also the first time we’ve been able to grow carrots, get them processed in the dehydrator, and put in a jar for winter use (using my very cool Electric Mason Jar Vacuum Sealer). 🙂 These are just our baby steps in dealing with our garden harvest. Carrots slices are next!
