WHAT'S STOPPING YOU?

THINK POSITIVE (Day 4 of 6)
(Need to start at the beginning? Day 1)

How did your day of practice go? What did you learn?

Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things. Philippians 4:8 ESV

Negative lines of thought are habitual for me. They’ve been created over the years and I slide into them easily without really noticing it.

The only way for me to change them is to catch them and challenge them with kinder and wiser thoughts.

I’m also influenced by the words of those around me. I love my upbeat and pleasant friends. They encourage me to better thoughts and words.

WHISPERING FRIENDS

Folks that are more negative and troublesome need to be guarded against. Not saying we can’t be friends, but I need to be aware of their influence and not step into agreement with the negative.

Were y’all able to major on the positive? Were you able to catch the negative, pause, and turn? What pulled you toward negative thoughts?

Mack, our rooster, is aging out (and we could really use another rooster), so this year we grew up some new ones to pick from.

MACK AND CHEESE

Cheese is the biggest, nicest rooster among the new bunch, so he gets to be second in command. They are both Plymouth Barred Rock roosters. We accidentally got a number of Black Australorps (in the background) and they’ve turned out to be gentle egg-laying machines.
