So I got my yearly physical followed by a colonoscopy and a mammogram.
It was so not fun. Really.
My emotional side was cringing, but my brain stood up and just went through the steps to check my health because it was the mature thing to do.
I’ve had good friends die of colon cancer and breast cancer, and others go through surgery and chemo. Preventative care goes a long way to reduce those possibilities for me.
Can I give y’all a gentle nag?
Please take care of yourselves. Eat healthy, sleep well, get exercise, and do what you need to do to stay healthy. It’s not always fun, but it’s a quality of life thing and a quality of marriage thing too.
There’s a sweet little park in the small town near where we live. It has one of those painted walls where you can take your photo.
Here we are just having a bit of fun being a butterfly.
