SELF-EXAMINATION

BE CONTENT  (Day 2 of 6)
(Need to start at the beginning? Day 1)

In looking at this scripture, how well have you lived this out?

Keep your life free from love of money, and be content with what you have, for he has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.”  Hebrews 13:5-6  ESV

I’ve had good times and bad times. Yes, I’ve had times when I thought more money would solve all my problems, but eventually I’d go down that bumpy road to trust He would provide. As a marriage issue, Paul and I have had our money “discussions.” We keep praying and growing in grace as we learn to be better stewards.

CONTENT WOMAN

Contentment has been a growing thing. I used to focus more on what I didn’t have. Now, I am doing better at being grateful and content in whatever place I find myself. It’s a journey. There are days when I just bust up with gratitude and days when I whine (sorry, God).

Where are you in your journey? Can you put money in its proper place (a tool and not a savior)? Can you be content in your current circumstances? How do money and contentment play out in your marriage?

My grandson stopped by to invite me to a tea party yesterday (a total surprise).

TEA PARTY

My sweet DIL and grandsons had baked goodies, gathered munchies, and made various teas. All the ladies and kids on the property enjoyed the special treat.

I can’t explain how lovely it was, but I felt totally wrapped in loved. (I may have to plan a tea party or two this winter.)
