BE CONTENT – (Day 5 of 6)

Let’s look for ways to live this out today.
Keep your life free from love of money, and be content with what you have, for he has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.” Hebrews 13:5-6 ESV
I would encourage y’all to consider the concept of generosity today. Generosity has a way of robbing a love of money of its power. God and stewardship have a way of opening our hands to love on others.
It doesn’t have to be big or hard.
Paul and I go to the YMCA every week. There is a box just outside with goodies and food for those in need.
Every week we buy a few extra cans/boxes of food to place in the YMCA food pantry. We’re working on foods that are easy to fix and consume.
It’s not much, but someone’s tummy is a bit happier today and our hearts are a little less tied to money.
Where could you be generous today? Is there some expression of generosity you could give toward your spouse?
And just off to the left of the food pantry box was a bush beautiful in autumn color.
God’s just showing off now. 🙂
