AN EXTRA WEEK –  (Day 2 of 6)

Here are our three concepts to consider and practice this week.

BE IN HARMONY WITH OTHERS – play well together.
SERVE OTHERS – ’cause you love them.
BE CONTENT – ’cause God is your provider.

I was watching a YouTube video of one of my favorite homesteaders. She was sharing about how they bought a manufactured home as a temporary home with plans to build a nicer, bigger home later. As time went on, they realized that it was wiser to put their time and money in other things and fix up what they had considered their temporary home.

I’ve enjoyed their journey as they went from basically ignoring their “temporary” home to making it a place of color and function. Their new contentment and joy in what they have is beautiful.

I’ve been wondering where I am doing that same kind of silly waiting-for-something-better thing, when I could be content and enjoying the present situation.

That’s my consideration for the day. Can I look around and be content and enjoy my present situation?

Where will you focus today?

I mentioned our recent rain. Tilly, my cat, is unimpressed with outside conditions and bored inside.

So I made her a special box.  There are paw-sized holes with cat toy balls inside. She loves it and it wears her out a bit, which is a good thing. A bored Tilly is a bad Tilly.
