CONCEPT FOR THE WEEK

HOSPITABLE WELCOME (Day 1 of 6)

With the holidays coming, I thought we could take some time to look at welcome and hospitality.

Therefore welcome one another as Christ has welcomed you, for the glory of God. Romans 15:7 ESV

Show hospitality to one another without grumbling. 1 Peter 4:9 ESV

Let’s take the day and think about these concepts.

WELCOME DOORMAT

What does it mean to welcome someone? What does hospitality look like in our time and culture? How and why does God expect this of us? How should it impact our families, friends, and even strangers?

Are y’all ready for Thanksgiving? I do know that holidays can make life more chaotic and stressful.

THANKSGIVING MEAL

I’m trying to do all the planning and prep early. We are up to more than 30 people and there will likely be more last minute adds. Being free to help or sit and visit is the plan.

I’m also trying to come up with some great Thanksgiving questions like, “Which dish do you find yourself eating too much of every year?” or “Who do you owe a huge thank you to?”

How are your holiday plans going?
