SELF-EXAMINATION

HOSPITABLE WELCOME  (Day 2 of 6)
(Need to start at the beginning? Day 1)

When you think about your life and home, how do you consider hospitality and welcome?

Therefore welcome one another as Christ has welcomed you, for the glory of God. Romans 15:7 ESV

Show hospitality to one another without grumbling. 1 Peter 4:9 ESV

Are you a natural or do you have to practice getting better?

I don’t know what it is, but sweeping off my front steps just makes me happy and makes it easier for me to welcome folks.

SWEEPING THE FRONT STEPS

I’ve tried to be less concerned about the condition of my home and more concerned with showing delight in my visitors.

I’ve also given thought and practice to making my husband feel welcome. It’s his home too and I want it to be a safe, restful, fun place for him.

Take the day and examine your relationship with hospitality in general and more specifically how you welcome your sweetie home.

This is a young tamarack tree that we planted a year or so ago.

YOUNG TAMARACK TREE

It’s one of the few pine trees that loses it needles during the winter. They’re quite striking in the autumn and they’re good sturdy trees. We’re happy because we are trying to get more trees established on the property and this one made it.
