DON’T GRUMBLE (Day 1 of 6)
Did y’all notice something in last week’s scripture?
Show hospitality to one another without grumbling. 1 Peter 4:9 ESV
Yeah, that grumbling thing.
Grumble: to murmur or complain under your breath against someone or something.
I kept noticing all week long that I grumbled (not about hospitality, though, so I’m OK). 🙂 I did, however, grumble to Paul about the grandkids making a mess with their snacks (I guess that counts as a lack of hospitality). I grumbled about having to do the dishes (hmmm). I also grumbled about (you guessed it) having to do bookkeeping.

And, honestly, there were times I grumbled about things Paul had done (or not done). It’s really puts a dent in my attitudes. It’s certainly not a marriage builder.
Let’s take the week and talk to God about grumbling. Why is it so destructive? Any stories or instruction in the Bible that we can learn from?

My pumpkins turned orange! We had such a short growing season, I wasn’t sure they were going to make it.

The other squash are butternut. I’m told they make pretty good pies too. Looking forward to pumpkin pie soon.
