CONCEPT FOR THE WEEK

CAN WE GET A LITTLE HUMILITY? (Day 1 of 6)

I’m moving through the love passage, and here is the next little bit.

[Love] is not arrogant or rude.  1 Corinthians 13:4b-5a ESV

I thought it might be good to look at a couple of definitions.

arrogant: having or revealing an exaggerated sense of one’s own importance or abilities.

rude: offensively impolite or ill-mannered, abrupt.

Awhile back I read this book on civility and it really helped me with my attitudes. There’s such a lovely gentleness to kindness, humility, and more. Arrogance and rudeness are so hurtful in their impact.

ARROGANT WOMAN

Let’s give this concept some thought today and talk to God about His perspectives on arrogance and rudeness. Are there characters in the Bible that we can learn from (I’m thinking about Abigail and Nabal)?

I’d like to thank all those who support my husband and me in ministry with your prayers and giving. We’re in the middle of our end-of-year support drive. Please give some thought to donating.
