LET’S ACTUALLY DO SOMETHING (Day 1 of 6)
Last week we thought about the impact of words and practiced kinder, more thoughtful words. However, words without the follow through of action are kind of meh.
Little children, let us not love in word or talk but in deed and in truth. 1 John 3:18 ESV
Yes, words are important, as we just practiced, but here John was writing to a group of folks who were all talk and no action. He was explaining how love needs expression in action.

Let’s take the day and talk to God about how actions reveal hearts and can show genuine love.
I was looking for biblical examples and then remembered, duh, Jesus taking action by going to the cross on our behalf. He said a lot of nice, loving words that I treasure, but without that action I’d be in serious trouble.

Footprints in the snow are so fun. We see quite a few different tracks from the wildlife.

And, of course, the oft seen herd of wild turkeys and the herd of wild grandsons.
