ROADBLOCKS (Day 4 of 7)
So how did you do? What did you learn? What made dealing with anger harder? Easier?
Paul and I had several discussions about annoyance and frustration (we rarely get really hacked off at each other). It’s mostly about “I want what I want when I want it.” Paul wants to leave early and, are you kidding me, I haven’t even had my coffee yet. How annoying.
I think it also can play into control issues which is usually about feeling safe or loved. We get angry when our spouse doesn’t do what we want. It says they don’t care. We get scared/angry when our spouse overspends because it rattles our sense of safety.
I’d love to hear your thoughts about this topic.
