REFLECTION (Day 3 of 7)
Over the last few weeks I’ve been thinking about the process of growth and the role of failure.
Just so you know, failure is not my favorite thing.
That said, failure is one of my more significant learning tools. I try a bunch of things, some succeed and some fail. I gather the info and try again (hopefully) with more success and less failure.
Just this morning, I finished my husband’s sentence (a habit I am trying to break). I noticed it quickly and I paid more attention to the conversation. I am doing better, so I am encouraged.
I can’t say I feel any better about failure, but I am calmer about it. It’s not a reflection of my worth. It’s about the journey of learning.
Here’s a small article. Failure Can Be Your Friend

Lori, enjoying your “new” series here!
Concerning “Failure” some made a point to me when I was personally disappointed in my actions who said: “Failure is an event, not a person” and another person said: “Failure can become a stepping stone to greatness, if used as one.”
Keep up the good writing and give Paul a hug from us!
Jerry, thanks for your kind and encouraging words. Hug passed on.
