(Need to start at the beginning? Day 1)

Ask God to show you one small area where you can focus on the important.

Whoever works his land will have plenty of bread, but he who follows worthless pursuits lacks sense. Proverbs 12:11 ESV

It might be speaking your spouse’s love language or taking the time to help your kid with their homework.

Perhaps a neighbor needs a friendly visit or there is work to do on a project that helps the function of your home.

The idea is to identify something important and find a way to act on it. If the action is too large to complete in one day, break it into several steps and do the first couple of steps today.

(You may also want to keep an eye out for those things that have little value but steal a good deal of your time. I’m not talking about the occasional funny kitty video, but rather something like spending hours on Facebook or on projects that gives little return on your time investment. What can you do to set a limit on how much time you spend on those activities?)
