(Need to start at the beginning? Day 1)
One of the biggest roadblocks to grace is “fairness.” It’s not “fair” to let someone off the hook for something they’ve done wrong (or we think they’ve done wrong).
‘And should not you have had mercy on your fellow servant, as I had mercy on you?’ Matthew 18:33 ESV
But with this scripture in mind, we’re not being fairly treated by God either. We’re being let off the hook big time.
So when God asks us to let others off for littler things, let’s do that, OK?
My other issue is I tend to be a fixer. Someone does something wrong, I want to help them understand and fix it. I totally need to get out of God’s place and let Him do that work on His timetable. So not my job.
What things do you struggle with when it comes to offering grace (especially to your spouse)?
