There’s a certain amount of humility involved in being a steward. You are working to meet His standards His way. You are working to serve others rather than just yourself.
Personal preferences or the need to control are at war with that, as is general selfishness.
Stewardship can also be a lot of work and responsibility. It’s no joke.
