Lori’s 2024 Reading List

I thought I would share the books I read this year. Some of them are repeats (books that consistently challenge me to grow) and some are recommendations from friends. If you’re looking for a good book, check these out. (Links are Amazon affiliate links.)

I’m reading this daily devotional:
New Morning Mercies by Paul David Tripp
Live in Grace, Walk in Love devotional by Bob Goff (Paul and I listen to the audio version each morning.)

January: QBQ by John G Miller – This is a book I promised myself I’d read every year. Well, it’s been around three years, so this is my first read of the year. It’s motivation to act, and it’s a very short book. 🙂

February: I’m re-reading Essentialism by McKeown because I just bought his second book Effortless, and I’d like to start at the beginning and read on through.

March: Redeeming Heartache by Dan B Allender – I’m taking a class that requires this book. It’s an amazing book on dealing with and healing from our personal wounds.

April:

May:

June: Effortless by Greg McKeown

Here are some of my past reads I hope to visit again:
Emotionally Healthy Spirituality by Peter Scazzero
Breaking Busy by Alli Worthington
Unoffendable by Brant Hansen
Zen to Done by Leo Babauta

And here a few recommendations I’ll be checking out:
The Body Keeps the Score by Bessel van der Kolk
Conflict & Community in Corinth by Ben Witherington III (this is for my Bible study)
Becoming Us by Beth & Jeff McCord
