FIRST TRY (Day 3 of 7)
(Need to start at the beginning? Day 1)
I’d like for us to apply this to our marriages (though if you are aware of something elsewhere, please apply).
May the Lord grant mercy to the household of Onesiphorus, for he often refreshed me and was not ashamed of my chains, but when he arrived in Rome he searched for me earnestly and found me. 2 Timothy 1:16-17 ESV
Is your spouse facing something stressful or hard? How can you stand with them?
It might be daily prayer. Perhaps some encouraging words, a shoulder rub, or taking a bit off their plate so they have the time and energy to face and deal with the issue. Be a listener or someone to brainstorm with. Goodness, make them cookies. 🙂
When I had to have a difficult dental procedure, Paul went with me, held my hand, and told everyone he was my “emotional support animal.”
(This is also a good thing to talk about with your spouse when you are making plans for the upcoming week. Where do they need a bit of help? How can you encourage them?)
