REFLECTION (Day 2 of 7)
(Need to start at the beginning? Day 1)
These are our three areas of reflection and practice this week …
Persevere – ’cause baby steps will get you there!
Don’t insist on your own way – others need a say too.
Deal with your own stuff first – it’s a maturity thing.
I saw this interesting quote by James Clear
Your 1st blog post will be bad, but your 1000th will be great. Your 1st workout will be weak, but your 1000th will be strong. Your 1st meditation will be scattered, but your 1000th will be focused. Put in your reps. James Clear
Honestly, my first blog posts were really poor. I didn’t know what I was doing, but I kept writing, learning, and practicing along the way. (I’m just going to believe Mr. Clear about the workout and meditation because I have yet to get there. 🙂 But you get the idea.)
If we want beautiful healthy marriages, we have to understand that our beginnings won’t look as nice as our latter steps in the journey. It involves a kind of humility to keep going when what we’re doing doesn’t look as good as what we imagine or dream of. That’s OK, let’s just keep putting in our reps.
