SELF-EXAMINATION  (Day 2 of 7)
(Need to start at the beginning?  Day 1)

I grew up with a stingy mom (explaining, not judging, she grew up in the Depression Era) and so I learned to be stingy. When I grew older and married, I hated what it was doing to my husband and me, so I asked God to help me change that. The Generous Wife blog was born out of that adventure.

While I may have a lot of years of practice under my belt, I’m human and if I don’t stay invested in being generous, it’s easy to slide into any number of selfish behaviors.

The generous man [is a source of blessing and] shall be prosperous and enriched, And he who waters will himself be watered [reaping the generosity he has sown]. Proverbs 11:25 AMP

So today I’m watching how I share with, love on, and generally serve my sweetie (and others too). Generosity is foundational in the Kingdom with some amazing good consequences.
