REFLECTION & PRACTICE  (Day 3 of 7)
(Need to start at the beginning? Day 1)

Here are our three concepts to review for this week:

MANAGE YOUR HOME – take care of where you live
BE DISCRETE – speak kindly and respect privacy
DO THE IMPORTANT – don’t waste time on worthless pursuits

I’ve been working on blending “do the important” with “manage my home”. Wow, it’s interesting. When I get the important done, my home runs much more smoothly.

Then I started thinking about blending other concepts with “do the important.” How about doing the important with stewardship, being prepared, or listening well.

It really helped me see that I can major on the important, the things that give the best return, so to speak. There is something called the Pareto principle that states that roughly 80% of consequences come from 20% of causes. Finding those few important things can have significant effect.

Where are you focusing today? What important points could help you see a greater return?

My sweetie wrote a post that has been sticking with me. Thought I would share it with y’all. It’s lovely and peaceable. The Importance of Expressing Love During Conflict
