ROADBLOCKS – SPEAK BLESSINGS (Day 4 of 6)
(Need to start at the beginning? Day 1)

So what keeps us from using our words to bless or makes it easy for us to curse others?

From the same mouth come blessing and cursing. My brothers, these things ought not to be so.  James 3:10 ESV

I’m looking at general intentionality. You have to think about it and use personal energy to bless, not curse. It can mean dealing with personal wounds or being humble in difficult conversations. It’s not always easy.

There are also some lies running around like, “Don’t compliment people or they will get a big head.” or “Give him/her a rough time to motivate them to change.”

I’m here to tell you, I often deal with the fallout of this kind of talk. I’ve prayed for and hugged many people with wounds from these lines of thought. Those wounds can run deep.

Let’s learn to bless and not curse.

A few weeks back, we bought some Barred Rock chicks. Well, they aren’t (they’re Black Australorps). Turned out to be a fortuitous mistake. They are good-natured super layers. They’re about 17 weeks and they just started laying eggs.

Here is a quail egg, an egg from one of our new layers (they start out small), and an egg from a mature layer.
